Celebrating our IGCSE and IB results

We at BISS are excited to celebrate our incredible students and their achievements.

From our Principal, Ciaran Harrington:

“If you follow the British press, you will see that examination results are making the news this week with A level, and then GCSE results will be due over the next few weeks. BISS is an IB school, so our results were published in July. Since we do the International IGCSE, those results have also come to us recently. Exam results do not define us as people, but they are essential as they are usually the gateway to the next stage of education and learning. So, in sharing and celebrating these results, I am also celebrating the hard work, commitment, dedication and perseverance of our students, their families and the teachers who have had such a key role in their learning. We are also very proud that our “value-added” measure, which shows how well our students did compared with expectations, is positive, meaning that they have exceeded expectations.”

In IB, 100% of our students passed and were awarded their diploma, with an average score of 31 points (above the global average of 30 points).

In IGCSE, 17% of students achieved A or A* in all their subjects, and 97% of students achieved at least 5 A* to C grades.

IB and IGCSE serve as an exceptional basis for international studies, which many of our students plan to take on.

Congratulations to all students, their parents, and their teachers for doing so well.
