BISS’s IB program receives stellar review

The following note was recently shared with all BISS parents. We’re thrilled to see our leading education recognized by formal reviews.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Firstly, thank you for your support in completing questionnaires and sharing your views and understanding of the IBDP program at BISS as part of our IB 5 year review process. A special thanks to those who came in to meet the team as part of the visit.

I am pleased to share with you the findings that the team have verbally reported to the school leadership and staff on Wednesday, whilst we await the full written report from the IBO.

The highlighter were as follows:

Academic Excellence & Student Development 

BISS received high praise for preparing students both academically and socially for their future educational journey. The evaluators specifically commended our commitment to our school's vision, mission, and values.

Outstanding Student Support 

The review team was particularly impressed with our "exemplary" student support systems. They noted our strong culture of inclusion, where staff and teachers work together to ensure every student receives the individualized attention they need. Student well-being was highlighted as a particular strength of our programme.

Exceptional Assessment Practices 

Our assessment methods received special recognition, with the IB visiting team upgrading our rating to "notable development." They praised our personalized feedback approach and commitment to educational equity, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Positive School Culture 

The evaluation emphasized our fantastic school culture, noting how students feel safe and have a strong sense of belonging. The positive relationships among staff and between teachers and students were specifically highlighted.

IB Programme Development Plan 

We are especially proud that our Extended Essay development plan was described as "the best we have seen" by the IB evaluation team. This acknowledgment reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and academic excellence.

This evaluation, by the IB visiting team, confirms that our school not only meets but exceeds many IBDP school requirements, positioning BISS strongly for continued growth and success in delivering an exceptional IBDP education to your children.
