How to motivate your child to read: part one of many

Misha Zaloudkova is the librarian and sustainability leader at our Ekeby site, always available to recommend books and to assist with any referencing or research questions students may have. Misha has worked at BISS for almost 10 years and her favourite part of the job is organising events such as Book Day, Blind Date with a Book, Harry Potter Day, and lots of other competitions throughout the year. The library is open to students for quiet reading during first break and studying/homework time during lunch break, and students can come in to check out and return books at any break time, form time or after school, regardless of whether it’s their year group day or not.

In this series, How to Motivate Your Child to Read, Misha will give you tips on how to engage your children in reading, how to make reading fun & enjoyable, and how to be a part of your children’s reading journey. If you have any questions or suggestions for future tips to promote reading, please contact Misha at m.zaloudkova@bisstockholm.se.

In this first video, Misha speaks about how local libraries are the perfect place for a family outing, and that every Stockholm library has an English section that’s worth checking out.
